3 members of the White Rose: Hans & Sophie Scholl and Christian Probst
These 3 students formed one of the very few German resistance movements against Hitler and the Nazi regime during World War 2. They were executed by the Nazis in 1942. Their actions live on to inspire people to not stand by silently in the face of injustice.

”How can we expect righteousness to prevail when there is hardly anyone willing to give himself up individually to a righteous cause,” Sophie said. ”Such a fine, sunny day, and I have to go,” she continued, ”but what does my death matter, if through us thousands of people are awakened and stirred to action?”
